Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 August 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how ReCorde (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the ReCorde mobile application (the “App”) on iOS and Android, and related websites or services. Please read it carefully. By using the App, you agree to this Policy.

1. Who we are

ReCorde is a mobile app that lets you record conversations and meetings, then generate transcripts, summaries, and action items using cloud AI services. For privacy questions, contact us at privacy@recorde.app.

Operator: ReCorde, Paris 13eme.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide

  • Account details when you create an account (for example name and email address), including when you sign in with Google (Android) or email/password via our authentication provider (Clerk)
  • Support messages and feedback you send us
  • Preferences and settings you configure in the App

2.2 Audio and meeting content

  • Microphone audio when you start a recording (with your permission)
  • Transcripts, summaries, notes, action items, chat questions (“Ask AI”), and related meeting metadata generated from your recordings

When you record a meeting and allow AI processing, that content is uploaded to our cloud infrastructure for transcription and summarization (see Section 4). You can delete meetings from the App.

2.3 Device and usage information

  • Device type, operating system version, and app version
  • Diagnostic logs, crash reports, and performance data (if enabled)
  • Approximate usage events (for example feature opens) to improve the App

2.4 Permissions

The App may request access to the microphone (required to record) and, where applicable, notification permission for background recording on Android. You can revoke permissions in your device settings. Without microphone permission, recording features will not work.

2.5 Purchases

Subscription purchases are processed by Apple or Google. We receive purchase status / entitlement information through RevenueCat so we can unlock paid features. We do not receive your full payment card details.

3. How we use information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve recording, transcription, summary, task, and Ask AI features
  • Authenticate your account and sync your meetings across sessions
  • Manage subscriptions and usage limits
  • Respond to support requests and communicate about the App
  • Monitor reliability, fix bugs, and prevent abuse or fraud
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information.
